THE SITUATION
AGS depends on a set of subsurface tool primarily Kingdom, with Petrel and ArcGIS Pro to support geological analysis, mapping, regulatory work, and data sharing. Over time, AGS has invested heavily in making Kingdom work, but users still face issues with interoperability, performance, accessibility, and workflow friction, especially in a hybrid cloud/on-premise environment. That environment makes it hard to tell whether the problems come from the software itself, the infrastructure, or the way the workflows are set up.
CAPABILITIES SOUGHT

NOTES
AGS does not yet have enough evidence to make an informed decision about its future subsurface mapping software strategy. So the POC is not just to replace software. It is to evaluate and validate whether an alternative (Geographix) performs better than the current setup (Kingdom) under realistic AGS workflows in AVD, and to give leadership defensible evidence for a future decision.
